Franklin methodNow that’s a pretty big statement. But then, Eric Franklin came up with a pretty big concept, based on how the body and mind actually work together.

‘Mind body’ is a phrase that has been thrown around the health industry for the past 20 years, to the point where it can sound a bit, well, jaded. Yadda, yadda.

What does ‘Mind Body’ really mean?

It’s sounds sorta self-explanatory, doesn’t it? You’ll feel good in both your mind and body when you do this exercise. But when you think about it a bit more deeply, the mind and body are so interwoven that anything that one does produces a deep reaction in the other.

You see, everything that happens in your mind, has a physical effect on your body – the thoughts you think and the emotions you feel create chemical responses which trigger certain hormones to be released.

If you find yourself in a stressful situation you will most likely increase the level of adrenaline in your body. If you have a pleasant experience it will increase the level of seratonin or dopamine in your body.

Therefore, you could deduce, if you change the way you feel you may be able to change your physiological state. Similarly, when you exercise, stretch or meditate, this practice can have a calming effect on your mind.
