Ahead of party season, Carol Grimes shares her top tips!

For me preparation is key, in all aspects! As always with family life it can be a bit manic around here especially at this time of year. So I’ve started doing little bits and pieces already (I know some of you will think I’m crazy but it really helps) and will keep it up for the next few weeks. That applies to everything, present shopping, holiday entertainment prep, work out preps, organising my calendar etc!

For someone starting out into fitness would they be better waiting until January to get moving?

I think if you see your fitness journey as a chore that needs to be put off until January, it will remain just that, a chore! I like to think of it as a new life, a new beginning and something really exciting. It will certainly start to feel like it in a week or two, your body and mind will feel amazing and will thank you for it! So get started on the amazing journey as soon as you can!

Top tip to keep stress at bay over the holiday season

To keep stress at bay I revert to no. 1, it really does work!

Do you eat clean & healthy over Christmas or will you over indulge like the rest of us?

I try to eat clean as much as I can all year round, mainly because once you start to eat clean you realise how bad food choices make you feel poorly, tired, cranky, the list goes on and on. Having said that……….a taste of something sweet here or there every now and then just ads to the festive feeling for me.

What’s at the top of your Christmas wish list this year…?

At the top of my wish list is a full body sports massage. It’s so important to reward our bodies especially when we put so much time and effort into them. It’s also amazing headspace from the craziness of Christmas for and hour or two 😆
