Hi there! Please introduce yourself, your name, your favourite hobby, your favourite colour, favourite movie, and so far, the highlight of your week.

DamyHey there, I’m Damy! My favourite hobby is reading as nerdy as it sounds, but I love a good book and love spending hours in an old book store. My favourite colour is probably blue, for no actual reason – I’ve just always liked it!

My favourite movie of all time is the animated version of Beauty and the Beast. If I had to pick an adult one, it would have to be Pretty Woman! This week has been pretty terrifying as I went to see IT and have had nightmares of demonic clowns every since.

How would you describe your food personality?

I don’t do meat, but I definitely do dairy, eggs, etc…

What is your favourite time of day?

I’m an early bird, catching that worm like it ain’t no thing!

Some say breakfast is the most important meal of the day do you agree and what did you have for breakfast this morning?

Everyone has an opinion and no ones is wrong, for me breakfast doesn’t work for me, I don’t like eating too early in the morning so will usually grab something small, like fruit or nuts and then head off. I’ll then eat some eggs and avocado around 10.30am / 11am.

Sweet or Savoury?

My sweet tooth has a life of its own.

Your absolute favourite food of all time is?

Right now, chickpeas, I am obsessed with them. Pretty sure I could live on them alone!

Hummus With Carrot

If you had a private chef, what types of food would they cook for you if you could have absolutely anything?

Pizza, hummus, chocolate cakes, I mean where do you start!? Anything with chickpeas and throw in some lentils and spices and sure I am delighted with life!

We’re eating out for your birthday, where are we going?

Lately I have fallen in love with indian food.

How often do you exercise in an average week

At least 3 to 5 times a week.

How do you fuel up for your training, and are you training for something in particular?

I love the sweaty sore feeling after a work out. There is something so refreshing and smug about it!

What’s always on your shopping list when you go to the supermarket? What can’t you live without?

Chickpea, vegetables and spices. Since I became vegetarian I use so many more spices. I love garlic and chilli.

Describe your average dinner time scenario, the food, the people the chaos?

Dinner is a very tame affair at home. I work late most evening so never eat dinner before 8.30pm. It’s usually a one pot dish of something quick and handy with minimal effort. I try and eat healthy during the week so I can enjoy the weekends, so even though I have cut out meat I try and go for more veg over noodles and rice. I try and keep potatoes and bread to a minimum as I find personally I just bloat with them.

Do you do meal prep?

Hell no, whatever’s in the cupboard is what I’m eating

Oh the choices! I love Ananda for Indian, It’s probably the best Indian food I’ve eaten. Next pick would have to be Umi Falafel, the food is simply epic! As a third choice I’d go with Baan Thai in Sandyford. Their Jungle Curry is possibly the spiciest thing I’ve tasted, but it is always amazing!
