Sinead studied and lived in Cardiff and London for almost ten years before recently moving back to Ireland to work with Platinum Pilates and Physiotherapy.

She has a passion for health and wellbeing and empowering people to achieve their full movement potential. Sinead sees clients at all three of the Platinum Physiotherapy clinics, she teaches Pilates classes and takes clients for Clinical one-to-one Physio Pilates sessions too.

Sinead is one of our most experienced practitioners and a lead Physiotherapist in our Clinical Physio Pilates service here in Platinum Physiotherapy. She uses her Clinical Pilates background to rehabilitate injuries to encourage clients to take an active role in their recovery. This approach encourages the patient to manage their condition independently by gradually transitioning the patient into group classes when appropriate. Last year, Sinead also completed Hatha Yoga Teacher Training which adds another dimension to her classes and Physiotherapy treatment.

Sinead describes her Physio and Pilates-style as Holistic. This holistic approach has been moulded from years of Physiotherapy experience working within the NHS, private sports clinics and private orthopaedic hospitals. More recently Sinead also worked as a manual therapy specialist in one of London’s leading Physiotherapy providers, based on the busy high street in Kensington. This experience allowed Sinead to enjoy using a wide range of techniques to encourage movement and reduce pain. Sinead is passionate about using the reformer and other Pilates equipment to rehabilitate pain and injury when appropriate.

Sinead has just completed the first year of her master’s in advanced Physiotherapy in UCD which included modules in sports Physiotherapy and strength and conditioning. These modules and previous experience working in academy rugby in London and Australian Rules Football have helped encourage her keen interest in sports injuries, especially running-related injuries.
